wow, our fans are spectacular. We have raised almst $6,500 in the first 45 minutes since we went live!!! Papa and Mama frog and all the froglings love you guys!

May 3rd - Kickstarter Launch

Rappan Athuk's kickstarter went live a few minutes ago. This will be an epic release of an epic product. The new material represents the last 10 years of play in my home campaign, and I think all of you will truly enjoy this book. Wait until you see my treatment of that will-o-the-wisp on level 12B!

This faux-leather bound book will be textbook stitched for durability. I am really proud of this thing, and I want to thank Ron Hawkins of Reaper Miniatures for partnering on the project with me. I'll post more later--frankly I am just in awe of what the response has been so far:)

Tsar is printing!

Notices for shipment have gone out, so if you have not yet received one, please email me at bill@talesofthefroggod.com. Books will ship May 28, with shipment from Paizo (if you bought from their site) about a week later. Greg flies up the week before so we can sign and number the copies ordered directly from us!

RA Reloaded is very rare and expensive…so yes, we are redoing both a Swords and Wizardry and a Pathfinder version  (pre-sale in about a month)—including 20 or so new levels (I am finalizing the last 2 this next week). This puts it over 50 levels!

We added a number of lower level areas (character levels 1-10), a village, a Temple of Tsathogga with a  three level dungeon of its own, and several deeper levels (wait until you see my treatment of the will-o-wisp on Level 12C).  I am also making it a faux-leather, stitch bound hardcover that will look like a Bible, and we are doing a series of 50-60 battle maps (miniature scale) of key encounter areas. Everything is drafted except 2 levels I am behind on (5B and 13C)—maps are in, art is ordered, and editing is in progress! Go Skeeter, John (Stater) and Dawn! The SW version will feature a red cover, and the Pathfinder version will be blue. Retail price is TBD (probably about $100). We may do this as a kickstarter project so we canm print more and get it into distribution. Please let me know your thoughts about this. We could offer premium packages at higher donation amounts--not sure what all would entice folks (a trip to Dallas or PaizoCon with the Frogs perhaps?).

Happy Anniversary FGG!

Its been 2 years and 71 books since we started this, and we from FGG want to thank all of you for the support. Not even an April Fools joke to be had:)

Layout for Tsar is done! Final proofing is being performed, and the books will head off to the printer this week. Now we can refocus on a few small books while we make the push forward on Rappan Athuk! I expect Tsar hardcovers will ship in Mid-May, and thanks to Chuck's skills, we got it to slightly less than 1000 pages...this means 2 WILL fit in one box, saving our overseas customers about $70 in shipping. Shipping invoices will arrive to all soon. We will ship based on the "shipping invoice paid" list, so please make sure you get this done by May 15 or so. All books are going to be shipped priority and wrapped in about a pounds of bubble wrap to ensure safe delivery.

At about 1 PM today, the Slumbering Tsar signed, numbered versions will go off sale. We will have limited quantities of non-signed/numbered copies available still at Paizo and possibly a few leftovers from the overprint here. I do NOT expect we will ever reprint this book, the print costs are prohibitive. Everyone give a shout out to Chuck (who can go to sleep now, for a  little while at least), who did a fantastic job making this book a true piece of RPG history.

Slumbering Tsar News! Only 11 days left... 

I will send a separate email to bill for shipping. I am likely shipping priority large box. I want to see if 2 will fit in the box before I ship, or if its 1/box. This REALLY matters for overseas customers.
Basically I will send an email to all subscribers and put a shipping bill button up--I will ship the book as soon as shipping is paid. I am going to wrap the hell out of these things so there is no chance of damage, as you can imagine, I am not overprinting very many due to the individual unit cost.
Chuck has it done through book 6 (just got off the phone). Should go to press April 5 or so--and will ship late May.

PS--more news soon on NS4,5, and 6,  a couple new ONS and SNS (including the long awaited Castle Baldemore) and other stuff. Tsar is a full time job right now!

The Frog’s have returned from Central America intact with the possible exception of our livers. We saw great things, did fun stuff, baby frog (6 years old) learned to surf, and we even got to watch a sea turtle lay eggs on a beach at night. Saw some of the scariest bugs and snakes imaginable (look up terciopila…very scary). Momma frog had a 7 inch long, 2 inch wide grasshopper with a 12 inch wingspan land on her back..she hopped about 10 feet in the air. We even got to see Will Smith filming Men in Black 3 (and one of his crew actually get bitten by a terciopila!). 

But, being back from the beach, we are back at work. I got 4 new levels of Rappan Athuk written, Greg finished Tsar 14 and is final editing the bonus chapter as I write this. Orders will be cut off for the signed/limited edition Tsar on March 31. Paizo will have unsigned books for sale soon, also in limited quantities.

I will be sending out shipping information to all subscribers soon. I am hoping I can get 2 books into a large priority box. Shipping is going to be killer for me (only 4 books per case box on the pallet). This will be the LARGEST RPG BOOK EVER MADE!

So in other news:

• Tsar 13 and 14 are at the printer and will go for sale soon, pdfs will get posted this week
• Northlands 4 is at the printer
• SNS 2 , Castle Baldemore is in layout
• Northlands 5, as well as several other ONS/SNS titles are coming soon
• Rappan Athuk is 75% converted, and 14 new levels are written as drafts. This epic will go on sale May 1 (or so)
• All current orders will be packed and shipped this week—I only got home 19 hours ago, so bear with me!

Frogs On Vacation!

Hey all, its mid February, and the cold weather is making us all go dormant. The Frog Family vacation  is near, and it is IMPORTANT that everyone realize we will be gone for the next month. All orders processed after Tuesday night will not be filled until mid-March (that’s right, a whole month in Costa Rica!).

In the news Tsar 14 is in layout, which means Greg only has to complete the bonus chapter, and we will be off to press in early April. We are sold out of Northland Saga 1, however, when I return, I will have limited reprints available. Castel Baldemore (Saturday Night Specials) and Hex Crawls 5-6 are also in layout for when I am gone. Rappan Athuk is progressive nastily, and I imagine I will get some great ideas while visiting the venomous snakes, frogs and other critters in Central America for the next 5 weeks.

I apologize in advance for those of you who read this late, or have to wait for books, but the Frog God has not had a month off work since 1976, and he needs it badly. We appreciate your business, and I look forward to returning and getting everything caught up with all that restored mana (e.g. energy) that I will have following this trip.

I still have limited numbers of Tome of Adventure Design, Black Monastery and Tome of Horrors SW version; get them while they last!

I shall miss you all, and look forward to hearing from you when I return. Again, the order deadline is 2/7/12 at midnight!

Updates this week include the following:

• Black Monastery goes on sale this week and is at the printer. This book is a hardcover, stitch-bound adventure that will take you back to the days of old. Written originally by my first dungeon master back in the 1970s, this one combines old-school sandbox dungeon crawl with modern style and format and is sure to satisfy. The book is hard bound and will remind you of the format of the 1st edition PHB. It also contains a 6 panel, fold-out map of the monastery for ease of reading those hundreds of small room numbers. Retail price will be $33.99, and the book will ship in early February 2012. PDFs will be priced at $15.99.
• Tsar 11 has been held up at the printer again…(sorry folks), and is shipping today to me.  I apologize for the inconvenience and delays, but I wanted to make sure the module was spot on quality that you expect from us.
• Tsar 12 went to layout this morning (thanks to Chuck, who pulled another all-nighter to get monastery done and to the printer this morning!).
• Northland Saga 3 is at the printer—look for an early January release!
• Quantities of our early modules are getting very, very low. I will not reprint these guys, so if you ever want a copy of Strange Bedfellows, Ursined, Demonheart, Eamonvale or Splinters of Faith, now is the time. Tsar individual modules are down to
• Toad is selling well, and reviews are excellent. TOH is still available in limited quantities in both SW and Pathfinder formats.
• Tsar 13 is in editing, and we expect the whole to be done by end March 2012 and off to the printer.  Paizo will have copies of the first edition book (with the bonus chapter, which will NOT be available as a pdf)), but ONLY direct sale copies will be signed by myself and Greg and numbered. Sales of the limited edition copies will be concluded two weeks after I get the last chapter!
• Remember, the Frogs are out of the country visiting their poison arrow cousins in Central America from Feb 10 to March 11—so no books will ship during these times!
• My aforementioned Ebay articles have not been listed yet—though they will be soon!
• Tsar shipping will be figured out soon. You will need to pay for shipping before I ship to you in May. It’s looking like priority mail is the best option (flat rate). Overseas folks can fit 2 copies in a box, or can fit several other books into the box as well. I am going to have to use large priority mail boxes I think—it “might” fit in a medium, but I am concerned about compression damage in that size container. More detail on this coming soon to all subscribers.
